Lola’s is bringing the beach vibes to Raleigh
New to Five Points neighborhood, Lola‘s Beach Bar features street tacos, nachos, burritos, and of course – tons of tequila. Influenced by the beach towns along NC’s coast, Lola‘s atmosphere boasts laid back summer afternoons, drinking margaritas all day long and mingling with the local crowd. Coming from a beach town like Wilmington, it feels like a little slice of home.
Ben & I visited this past week on their opening day, and had a wonderful experience. We sat down to catch the 4 o clock game and drown ourselves in delicious queso. At Lola‘s Beach bar you get what you pay for – and then some. Our margaritas were made with care & fresh squeezed juice (amen!) and as for the food – it was nothing short of amazing.
If it wasn’t raining outside that day we would have made better use of their spacious patio and brought our dog with us. Yes – they are dog friendly on their patio only. We can not wait to bring out furry friends! I adored the inside/outside bar that you see in the picture above, it features an garage door window that opens up the entire room!
Because we visited opening day, they were busy as to be expected with a new restaurant. However the service was wonderful despite the full house. The owners introduced themselves and we ended up talking for almost an hour about the bar and our homes in Wrightsville Beach.
I urge you to go check out Lola’s Beach bar- ASAP! With the fall weather approaching it’s the perfect time to enjoy the patio. Indulge in some much needed tacos & tequila -all while supporting a beautiful family and local business! Ben & I are happy to say that we are fans and look forward to many more visits here.
